I think this might be my new favourite image for Christmas cards. It doesn't require much colouring, and it looks so classic. To add to the snowy effect of the card I put stickles along the edge of each piece of card.
I've had problems with the internet for a couple of days so I'll have some posts over the next couple of days to share what I haven't been able to blog.
Nowadays, I only buy craft magazines if they have a free gift that I want. Every so often shops will add an extra free gift in to make you buy it from them. This stamp set was one of those bonus sets, so I don't know the name of the set, only that it is in the Fizzy Moon range.
I used some of the paper I cut for the anniversary card two posts back for this card. The flowers are from the same range, and the alphabet stamps are from the Persimmon range, which is also from Papermania.
I played with my colour sprays again for this card. The background uses Aqua and Kingfisherlicious, and the border stamp from Inkadinkado's Rock Star set. The image is Eva the Witch from Delicious Doodles.
Today is James' parents anniversary. This is the card James and I have given them. His Dad is a big Beatles fan so I had to use that Hobbycraft sentiment on it. The papers are all from the Papermania Capsule Collection.
Today has been fairly warm compared to our usual weather, so obviously I decided to make Christmas cards...
This is a set of 18 really simple Christmas cards made using the Papermania Classic Christmas 12x12 pack. There are two pages in the pack which are die cut squares with different designs on. I simply inked the edges and mounted each design onto some patterned paper from the pack. Then inked the patterned papers edges and stuck them to a square card base.
Just a quick post, for this quick card. I have been playing with my new embossing folder. I used it straight onto a 4x4 card base, swiped a yellow ink pad over it, then finished it off by adding a pre-printed sentiment.
I wanted to paint something fun on my nails today since I haven't for a while. One of the YouTubers I watch for nail art tutorials recently did nails featuring Bloo from Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, which made me want to try and do all the characters from that. I need a little more practice before I can do that though, so instead I went with something a little easier. I found a picture of all the Mr. Men characters and chose five of them to try. So here we have Mr. Happy, Mr. Bump, Mr. Strong, Mr. Sneeze and Mr. Messy.
Don't you love it when you find things that go perfectly together? I found this sentiment as I was looking through my stamps and realised it was exactly what I needed to go with the papers which I had already cut to use on this card.
I created the paper for this card by letting my inner child out. First I sprayed the paper with Maple, Aqua and Kingfisherlicious sprays. The Kingfisherlicious one has some shimmer to it, but the photo doesn't show it. I dug out a really old stamp set (which I'm not sure who makes), to add some sea creatures. Then finally used my promarkers to scribble on it. To finish I just inked the edges of the paper and added some buttons from the Tub 'o' Buttons.
